Which type of video card is better?

i have wondered which type of video card is better to have and why. i have seen video cards that either use the agp bus or pci-e bus to get their power and i have seen ones that need direct power from the power supply. which would be better and why?|||PCI Express is the standard for video cards. AGP is an older technology and they don't make any AGP cards anymore. There are PCIE cards that don't require additional power from the power supply. The ones that do require additional power are better in gaming. More power means more processing capabilities.



The GTX 460 which is basically the standard card for modern gamers requires 2 6-pin PCIE power connectors.



The 8800GT/9800GT which was the best card in 2008/2009 requires just 1 6-pin power connector.



The GTX 460 more than doubles in performance over the 9800GT.
