Can i connect video card i salvage from my old computer and connect it to my new com so i can hook 2 monitors?

Coz i would like to run 2 programmes at once so i can get work done quickly without minimizing the other programme without spending any money on buying another new video card...|||i'm assuming that your older video card is still pci, and your newer vga card is agp, yes it's possible, but i wouldn't recommend it. pci vid card runs slower than AGPs so you might encounter some annoying technical issues even if you pull it off. If your old and new vid card are both AGP, sorry but i don't think there's a mobo available with two agp slot. the best way for you to achieve your goal is to just buy a single vid card with dual out-put, either both VGA output or a VGA/DVI out. you might need to purchase a separate dvi to vga converter to be able to plug a CRT monitor to the DVI port and vice versa if your if you have an LCD monitor (whew i can't believe i said all that in one breath :D)|||No, is the short answer. You can only do that with motherboards and video cards that are made for that specific purpose. There is some inexpensive video cards out there that can replace yours that have multiple VGA ports that let you run 2 monitors.

You can find some at www.tigerdirect.com
