Can you use a sound card and video card from a dell computer in another?

Dell computer motherboard no longer works but as far as I know the sound and video card are still good so I was wondering if they could be used in the computer im building (I have no driver disc for them).|||Assuming they fit in PCI slots, you can certainly try. If Dell was using some proprietary technology, you may have a hard time finding drivers.



Computer Repairman|||You should be able to either find the driver or use the generic windows drivers. As long as the new motherboard as the slots, its fine to reuse them.|||depending on how old those parts are it may not be worth using in a new system, newer boards dont use AGP and most have as good or better sound cards built in...

There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it.
