Does NVidia or ATI have video cards with hardware acceleration for HD free to air streams. Does the HD free to air stream need decoding by the CPU or the GPU?|||go to ati dot com or nvidia dot com and find your answers there|||I was at these sites and they dont have an answer/ the people answering my email query dont give an answer other than to say that there is hardware acceleration from the card for BlueRay an HD DVD. No mention of free to air decoding of HD mpeg streams.

|||not entirely sure what ur asking, but most computers will need the hd to be decoded by the cpu, however geforce 8 series cards have a feature (i think hdcp but not sure) that is supposed to take a large amount of the burden of hd off of the processor, hope this helps
