What type of Video card do I need to install? PCI-E or AGP?

My motherboard's model is socket 478 from ASUS.

Im quite confused as to what type of video card I need to buy and install.

Thanks in advance!|||Buy `em both and return the one you don't need. :)|||your mainboard does have AGP AGP4x

but you can have the board to recognize the X8 cards

so start searching for a good refurbished or maybe new agp card if available, the choice is yours but i prefer <50$

x800 gto or maybe 6600gt if you can find it.

I think some do exist with pci-e though.|||If it has an AGP slot, then it likely does not have a PCI Express port.

I don't think you can find high end cards in AGP, but possibly an upgrade still.

|||well it depends on the slot your motherboard have..

check first your motherboard if it has an AGP slot or PCI express slot..

|||Try nVidia 8xxx series cards in AGP 8x
