Will my old motherboard run a good video card?

Well, I have this old Dell motherboard, with only PCI slots on it, can I get a top-of-the-line PCI video card to run on it? or will it overload my comp?|||You will need to get the model of the motherboard and the description of the card you want to plug into it. And call Dell customer support to ask. You might be able to contact Geek Squad too, but you might have to pay.|||It mainly depends what you want to do with the PC ? High end gaming more or less requires the bandwidth of at least AGP 4x-8x or PCI-Express now a days. For playing older games, PCI should be just fine. There's still manufacturers that release PCI versions of gaming video cards, which have the raw horsepower to play the games, but often enough the PCI Bus itself can't handle the traffic (It won't overload your computer, it just won't run as great as AGP or PCI-E, but it will still run, and probably better than the existing graphics adapter.)
