Can i remove and replace the card that is inserted at the PCI EXPRESS of my CPU to install a video card?

My comp: HP Pavilion a6150d

I opened my CPU and i saw 3 slots there 2 white slots and the other is black, and at the black colored slot there is something inserted in it and i don't know if i may remove it and put a PCI Express graphic card in it.

Is it the integrated graphic card that is installed in my computer?

Can i remove the card and replace with a PCI EXPRESS graphic card?|||that is not your CPU you opened up . It is the case. Now the 2 white slots are PCI . the other is your PCIe . It most likely has a video card pluggeg in it . May have a sound card or anything else for that matter. What is attached to the card ? If it is your monitor then it is your video card. If it is your speakers , sound card . get it ? okay .

now if it is your video or some other you dont need , jsut take out the screw or what ever and plug in the new one .

make sure you turn off the power , unplug it is better. touch the metal case with your haed before touching the card and if you move around to get the new card touch the case again before taking the new card out of the anti static package.|||If theres a card in the pci-express slot, it is your video card. If you wanna replace the existing with new, do it but make sure the new card is compatible with system.|||DAN DAN

i mentioned your name twice a you seem unable to READ what is written.

Ok so the slot at the Top is the Video Slot not the others.

YOU DO Have to be wearing a ZAP Strap when changing the video card as you could easily damage it with static.

Its just a case of disconnecting the computer from the mains supply and turning off the monitor.

If you don't do this you could blow up the video card with static when you take the plug out of the socket on the back.

Pull the old card out and put the new card in fix it down with a screw and reattach the video cable and power up and add the cd/dvd software to the computer as requested by the operating system.
