Just wondering if it is possible to change a laptop's video card ?

and by the way are there external video cards that could help in a better gaming performance?|||no and no|||Hello

The answer is Yes and No. On some Laptop (IBM Thinkpad) You can buy a Docking station which has room for a new full sized graphics card. So in that example, Yes.

Most laptops use a integrated graphics card that is part of the motherboard so the answer is No. You will have to look up what your upgrade options are for your Laptop.

I cannot tell you unless I know what laptop you have.

One other way, is upgrade your laptop memory, then under the BIOS settings share some extra memory to your video card.

Just found this for you.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/displ…|||no. the graphics cards on laptops are part of the motherboard, so unless you want to replace your whole motherboard, you cant. and there are no eternal graphics cards that help with gaming.
