What makes a game run slow? Does it run slow if your pc has a slower CPU or low video card?

It must be one of them, because i played JUST CAUSE 2 and it had both of them less and it ran slow. Im hoping the answer to be LOW VIDEO CARD 0_o|||Both of them are strong factors in running a game smoothly. But don't forget the RAM. It also important. If your RAM is low, even using a high end CPU or graphic card doesn't help that much.

Of course I can say that most of the times it is about graphic card.|||There are multiple variables that can cause a game to run slow. First off, make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements to run the game. If your system just meets the minimum, you should upgrade your components to probably double the minimum requirements for the best experience. If it is a graphics heavy game, you will need a good graphics card. If you purchased a cheap $300 laptop or desktop, then you need to upgrade your graphics card; you will also need more ram/memory than the system came with. If you are playing a game online, then you will need a fast internet connection so the game doesn't lag. Another issue might be that you have several computers on your network using much of the internet bandwidth in your location, you will get a slower connection.

It would probably help if you said what your computer specifications are, and what game(s) you are having trouble playing.|||A poor video card will have a greater impact on a game's performance. For example, as an experiment I put an ATI Radeon HD4870 into a PC with a single core Pentium4 HT 3.6GHz processor. Previously this machine had a Radeon X600 and wasn't capable of playing five year old games properly. (UT, Serious Sam, etc). With the HD4870 it was able to play Crysis, and just about any other modern game that I tried on it. Admittedly the 4870 didn't perform as well as it does with a Core2Quad Q6600 but it shows what a poor processor can achieve in combination with a good graphics card.|||Both are needed to play games. Have a small amount of ram, or slow ram or a slow hardrive can slow games too. What are your computer specifications? If you have no idea, then go to start then run in xp, or if you are using vista, then just use the search thing at the start menu. Type in dxdiag.exe, and it will tell you everything.|||Actually, it depends on the Random Access Memory Card(RAM) for the loading part....

your CPU also plays a part in the speed of the games...

your Video Card Only enhances the quality of the game... it has nothin to do with the speed at which stuff loads during the game, ofcource its not possible to play many games without the video card..

increase your Ram or change the processor of your CPU....|||Main things that affect speed of computer.

*Hard drive: if your hard drive has a small capacity or is almost full

*CPU: you need to get a 2Ghz+ , maybe intel i5

*RAM: One of the main reasons. Get more RAM, preferably 2GB-4GB+

*1GB Graphics Card|||Go to canyourunit.com and it will tell you what's slowing you down. It's really anybody's guess as you didn't give any information about your system but it's generally RAM, CPU or the video card's fault.|||This question would be much easier to answer if you actually told us what CPU and GPU you're using.|||The game run slow because your system is slow

Probably got an old *** Pentium 4
